- Narrow, clean tarmac, cyclists in trains, coaches in summer. The knot is one-lane if a bus is in it. Heat off the rock in July. Go at eight.

July is a queue of vehicles that cannot reverse. March is the road.

Coll dels Reis at eight. The knot with no bus in it. Fourteen kilometres and a swim. July at noon is a different road — I would not.

Cyclists owned the climb. I waited in every bay. The Torrent de Pareis mouth is why the road exists. Go in March.
